Every portal has a link for your calendar. Through these links the calendars can see each other. When a guest books on Booking.com, the dates show as taken on your website. When you confirm a booking from your website, the portals stop offering those dates. It all happens automatically, with a delay that depends on each portal (Booking.com reads the calendar roughly every two hours).

While we prepare your website, you give us access to your accounts on the portals where you list the property, or the links to their iCal calendars.

We add the portal calendars to your website and give each portal your website’s calendar. On each portal it is a single link.

Before launch we check together that the booked days match on your website and on the portals.

Days booked on the portals appear on your website, and confirmed bookings from your website are blocked on the portals. Automatically, with a delay that depends on each portal.

A request from your website waits for your confirmation. Until you confirm it, the dates stay free on the portals. The calendar shared with the portals contains only confirmed bookings, so you never lose a Booking.com guest because of a request you haven’t accepted.

What is iCal?
It is a standard calendar format. Every portal that supports it gives you a link to your property’s availability calendar and can, in turn, read a link to another calendar. Through these links your website and the portals exchange booked days.
Which portals can be connected?
Booking.com, megaubytovanie.sk, hauzi.sk and any other portal that offers an iCal calendar. Calendar sync is included in the price of the website, however many portals you use.
Is the sync instant?
No. The sync runs automatically, but with a delay that depends on each portal: portals read external calendars at intervals they set themselves, Booking.com roughly every two hours. For last-minute bookings we therefore recommend checking the portal as well.
Are the dates blocked on Booking.com as soon as a request arrives from my website?
Only once you confirm the request. A pending request is not sent to the portal calendar, so you don’t lose the dates because of a request you may end up declining.
Do I have to set anything up myself?
No. We set up the sync while preparing your website. If you add another portal later, just send us its link and we will add it.
